February 8, 2018 — Identity fraud reaches record levels as criminals adapt methods
Robert Capps, VP at NuData, comments on a report issued yesterday by Biometric Update disclosing that identity fraud rose 8% within the last year to a new high of 16.7 million people according to the new Javelin Strategy &Research Study on Identity Fraud.
This key study demonstrates that personal information is under siege, and protecting sensitive data with legacy methods alone is impossible in the age of mega breaches. Data breaches are hard to avoid, but companies can implement technologies to help customers and their business prevent fraud in their environment after a data breach.
