It’s critical that security teams protect employees across all endpoints to ensure they don’t fall victim to a phishing attack or download a malicious attachment that compromises the organization’s entire security posture.
Robert Capps, vice president of emerging technologies at NuData Security, adds “Fraudsters will try to threaten companies with freezing payroll. The IRS will more likely send a letter to a business and try to set up an appointment to come out to visit the company. Also, the IRS will not call. If the situation gets bad enough, an IRS agent will show up at a business with a local sheriff or police officer.”
